Lion's Mane
The brain tonic. Go beyond gingko.
Known as Lion's Mane due to its
long cascading tendrils, legend has it that those who consumed
this mushroom would have "the steel nerves and memory of
a lion". Recent studies confirm support of the digestive
system, but more promising is the ability to stimulate
synthesis of nerve growth factor (NGF), which may help inhibit
brain dysfunction associated with aging.

Lion's
Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is type of mushroom that has
been used traditionally in China and Japan for hundreds of
years, and also known as bear's head or monkey's head. The
common name in English is hedgehog fungus and in Chinese is
Hou Tou Gu. Some of this mushroom's most promising (and
surprising) benefits include possibly being able to stimulate
the synthesis of nreve growth factor, which may help inhibit
brain dysfunction associated with Alzheimer's disease ans
possible other neurological diseases. Studies also confirm
many of its traditional uses, supporting the digestive system,
and acting as a tonic for the nervous system.
